This instance is prettymuch a testbed for whatever wacky code is running on the main branch of GoToSocial at any given time, though it's deployed from other branches as well sometimes.

It's also used as a more or less single-user instance by @tobi although there are some other folks with accounts on here too.

This instance runs on a 1-cpu, 1024mb vps from Greenhost.

This is because:

  1. It's cheap(ish).
  2. Greenhost is alright.
  3. Running on a low-spec machine is a good way to make sure that GoToSocial performance is OK.

The blocklist is over 1,000 domains. Don't be a dick head or you get yote.

The "fediverse" is a shibboleth and free and open federation is nonsense. This instance has a massive blocklist because I can't be arsed changing everyone's diapers all the time. There is no appeals process.
